Executive Team

Harley Flack – President & CEO

Harley holds operational control and is also responsible for strategic oversight and acquiring new opportunities for Stella May Contracting. Harley is a seasoned executive with experience in providing strategic oversight using process improvement engineering to build and stabilize companies. During his vast years of expertise he has served in the leadership of a company, acquired by a fortune 500 company, that benefited from his improvement methodologies by a 6x multiplier. Harley utilizes his talents, and those of his team, to provide immediate solutions and processes that are designed to grow, sustain, and manage overall returns on investments.

W. Brad Hanks – Executive Vice President

Brad has executive oversight of the company’s field operations. He has over three decades of experience in the heavy civil and utility infrastructure construction industries, most of which have been with Stella May Contracting where he was hired as the first employee in 1995. Serving the company as the general manager since this time, he has been integral to our growth and success. He established many of the organizational departments including estimating, safety, and customer relationships throughout his two decades at Stella May Contracting. He also has extensive and invaluable knowledge regarding the company’s formal and informal operations.

Christian Johansson – Chief Financial Officer (CFO)

Christian is accountable for managing our board, advisory board, overall organizational governance, and exploring new strategic investments. He has 25 years of demonstrated leadership in founding, supporting, and growing new ventures and has had senior executive roles in both large private and public companies, government and not-for-profit organizations including serving as a Cabinet Secretary for Governor Martin O’Malley heading up the Maryland Department of Business and Economic Development. Christian earned his bachelor’s degree from Brown University and received his MBA from Harvard Business School.
