History

Stella May Contracting was established in January of 1995. The president, Stella M. Miller, initially set up the organization and drew up the Articles of Incorporation and By-Laws. At this point she secured startup funds with an SBA Low Doc Loan from a local bank. The first employees (Brad Hanks & Rick Phillips) were hired in May of that year and actual construction started at that time. At first the company took on many small projects and gradually increased contract volume from there. Revenues have grown from our first year of $250,000 to $11,000,000 in 2005. Stella May Contracting now employs a team of 80 people.

Our mission is to provide professional construction services to Federal, State and Local Government agencies. We are dedicated to maintaining the highest level of skill, integrity, quality and responsibility in providing professional services to our clients. Our employees are the most critical element in achieving our mission. We are in business to make a fair profit for our services.
