My favorite part of working at Stella May Contracting is the incredible support that’s always available to help get the job done right. When I was out in the field, I never had to chase down PPE or tools—SMC made sure we had everything we needed to work efficiently and, most importantly, safely. If anyone needed extra training—whether during work hours or after—there was always someone willing to step in and make sure you understood the task and how to do it properly. That same level of support continued even after I transitioned into an office role. I truly couldn’t ask for a more dedicated and supportive team.

Joining Stella May Contracting, Inc. a decade ago, I found a culture built on valued collaboration and a mission to deliver safe, successful projects. Today, that collaborative spirit is more than just a value—it is the foundation of a genuinely united community where our synergy drives success. I have consistently been impressed by our leadership’s transparency and integrity. They share goals and challenges openly, seek employee feedback regularly, and ensure every voice is heard. With the guidance of great mentors and the company’s focus on employee advancement, I was able to expand my knowledge, leadership skills, and technical understanding, which led to my promotion to Gas Project Manager.

This role has allowed me to take on greater responsibilities, lead teams, and manage projects. These experiences have strengthened my confidence and expertise in the industry. I’m proud to work for a company that values its people, promotes them from within, and creates an environment where hard work and dedication are recognized and rewarded.

I have never worked for a company that cares so much for its employees. We have an HR department that will help in any aspect or issue. I have never been with a company that sends one of the HR members out to the job sites daily to ask team members is there anything the company can do to help them in the field. Our company is like extended family. We Build it to Serve and to Shine.

Why come to work at Stella May Contracting? Opportunities are endless at Stella May. If you want a company to learn from, SMC is a great company to do that with. Growth from within is encouraged and as we are growing, SMC continues to put safety and family first.
